My blog as a notebook…

Unfortunately, I do not have the time to use this blog like a diary with daily postings about my research. And after all, I do not have so many interesting and important things to say. :-) For general information about me and my research take a look at the pages above. I will try to post regularly in my blogClick to read my blog entries in chronological order. in order to keep you up-to-date about my research: What has caught my attention? What am I exactly doing? Do I have new, great thoughts never heard of? This Blog is therefore rather a notebook.

…open for comment & discussion

However, this is not meant as another academic one-woman/one man-show. Feedback is critical for me. Meaning: Perhaps there is something that you do not find right or even totally of the line. It would be great if you could share this with others and me in a comment. Perhaps you find something intriguing and you would like to develop it further. Please, go ahead! In short: Everything is appreciated.

Our privacy

I do my best to protect all participants. Basically, nobody will appear in my writings and lectures without having been ask for permission.

Your and my privacy are equally essential as is mutual respect. In case you write something here on this blog that I would like to cite or use, I will ask you for permission. I will quote your actual or online name or use an alias. If you do not want this: Hands off for me.

Language Issues

I am trying to provide the content in the three languages (English, Dutch and German) that are relevant for the participants of my research. This may not always work right away and is quite time consuming. I have just recently started to work with css and php. Therefore, I am dependent on the big open source community out there developing wonderful tools that a newbie like me can work with. Thus: I plead for patience and a sense of humor, also from those among you reading the Dutch and English sites. My mother tongue is German. English has been a steady companion since the seventh grade at high school and I only recently had the pleasure to come to the Netherlands. Depending on my physical and mental state, my Dutch is very good or a big construction site. Just be glad that you are spared from my “charming” accent in Dutch :-) .
